Renew Your Test Administrator Status Annually
Every year test administrators must update their tester profiles by January 15 in order to remain active for that calendar year. (Follow the step-by-step instructions below.) We will send you an email reminding you of the deadline, so please make sure that we have your current email address on file. If your test administrator status has expired, you can reactivate your profile at any time.
1 Log in to your BJU Press account and review your Account Settings and Address Book.
Sign in and click My Account. Then review your Account Settings and Address Book and make sure these are up-to-date. Now, click Test Administrator Profile on your My Account page.
2 On your Tester Profile, list and review your contact preferences.
Click the circle next to the contact option you prefer. Please read both options before making a selection.
If you administer tests for others, you will also need to fill in the contact methods that you prefer. You must provide at least one method.
When testing for other families, you should choose the second contact option. If you choose the first option, no one, other than those you include in your exceptions list, will be able to ship tests to you.
3 Click the Save/Confirm button (necessary for updating the profile).
Click the Save Changes/Confirm Information button near the bottom of the page. You must click the button even if you have not made any changes.
When you have successfully updated your profile, a message in large green font will appear at the top of the page saying, "Thank you for updating your tester profile."
4 Set your Privacy Settings.
Note: You will need to create your privacy settings only if you administer tests for others.
Underneath the Save Changes button, there is a section entitled Address Privacy Settings. Here you need to choose Public, Limited, or Private, for each address associated with your account. Only one address should be selected as Public (available online in the Test Administrator Directory). If you have questions regarding privacy settings, visit our FAQs.
If you want to test others, you must indicate that you are interested in administering tests for others (the second option in the Contact Preferences section) and assign the Limited or Public privacy setting to one of your addresses.
If you have chosen to administer only tests that you have ordered (the first option in the Contact Preferences section) but have added someone to your exception list, you will still need to assign the Limited privacy setting to one of your addresses. Otherwise, no one else (including those in your exception list) will be able to ship to you.
5 Select your shipping address.
Choose one shipping address to be assigned to your tester profile. This address is where we will ship your testing materials, and it can have any privacy setting assigned to it.
You can assign a shipping address by clicking on the Change link next to an address listed in the Address Privacy Settings and by choosing Ship tests to this address or by choosing another address from the dropdown menu.
Prepare for Testing
As you look forward to your upcoming testing, this preliminary information may be helpful in planning your testing sessions. Please remember that the materials mentioned below are included in Service Packages only. For Purchase items, everything is ordered separately, including directions.
BJU Press Testing & Evaluation is providing Form E of the Iowa Assessments. We are also offering the CogAT® Form 7 in combination with Iowa testing.
- Please read and follow our Checklist and Guidelines, a copy of which will be included with the materials and is also available on the Support page.
- If you are combining multiple grades, remember that Grades 3–8 (Levels 9–14) may be tested together, and Grades 9–12 (Levels 15–18) may be tested together.
- For Service Package orders, one copy of the directions will be sent automatically for each grade grouping ordered. If you plan to have more than one group of students within the same grade grouping test at the same time, you will want to request extra directions for that test when ordering.
- If extra directions booklets are shipped separately from the tests, a minimum $3.99 shipping/handling fee applies.
- Level 9 contains two extra subtests, Word Analysis and Listening, which are not contained in Levels 10–14. These optional subtests will need to be administered separately from any other tests in Grades 3–8 and will require approximately 45 minutes of additional testing time (see testing schedule in the link below).
- A single test level (Level 17/18) is shared by students in Grades 11 and 12. The national trend is to take an achievement test during either Grade 11 or Grade 12 and to take the ACT or SAT during the other grade.
- For Service Package orders, one copy of the directions will be sent automatically for each grade grouping ordered. If you plan to have more than one group of students within the same grade grouping test at the same time, you will want to request extra directions for that test when ordering.
- The test results report will reflect the appropriate norm-referenced comparisons based on the student’s grade level at the time of testing.
- Calculators may be used for math subtests only when permitted by the Directions for Administration. Calculators should be four-function, not graphing or scientific calculators.
- Full testing schedules are available.
- Please see information for students needing accommodations.

- Intermediate 1 contains a Word Study Skills subtest that is not contained in Intermediate 2 or 3. This one subtest will need to be administered separately from any combined Intermediate testing and will require approximately 20 minutes of additional testing time. The Word Study Skills subtest is necessary for both a Basic and a Complete Battery.
